My research explores the underling processes governing the emergence of biodiversity patterns across space, time, and the tree of life. My research asks why species distributions are non-random, why biological diversity is partitioned so unevenly across the globe, and how distinct lineages accumulate over evolutionary timescales. To uncover the drivers behind these macro-scale patterns, I employ a multifaceted approach that integrates diverse study systems with both correlative and mechanistic modeling. Beyond empirical ecology, I am deeply interested in the inferential philosophy within our field; part of my work examines the philosophical underpinnings of ecological practice, questioning why we approach scientific inquiry through our current methodological lenses.
Detailed records of my publications and ongoing research contributions are available via Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
